The Singapore-India Hackathon 2023

The Singapore-India Hackathon 2023 was launched on March 13, 2023, in New Delhi by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, India's Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Mr Gan Kim Yong, Singapores Minister for Trade and Industry. The final of the Singapore-India Hackathon 2023 will be held as a part of India’s G20 Presidency in Gandhinagar, Gujarat under the G20 Finance Ministers meeting from 15-16th July. Additionally, the Singapore-India Hackathon fosters bilateral cooperation between students and start-ups from Singapore and India in Fintech, Sustainability and ESG

Singapore-India Hackathon 2023 is organised by the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and the Indian Ministry of Education All India Council for Technical Education in partnership with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Confederation of Indian Industries, Enterprise Singapore, SGInnovate, Singapore Fintech Festival, Start Up India and IIT Gandhinagar.

Since its inception in 2018, the Singapore-India Hackathon has established itself as a leading platform for fostering linkages between young innovators in science, technology, and entrepreneurship of Singapore and India to find solutions to the critical global challenges of our times. Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and former Singapore Education Minister, Mr. Ong Ye Kung were present at the Hackathon Award Ceremony in 2018 and 2019. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Singapore Deputy Prime Minister are expected to attend the event this year and present the awards. 12 student teams comprising of 2 Indian and 2 Singaporean students each will compete in-person for a 36 hour Hackathon on 14-15 July at IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. 12 global startups will compete in-person on 15 July at IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. Prizes will be awarded on 16 July.
